How about this…he found a pen inside the boat and couldn’t find a paper.

It’s possible, but we need to know what material the boat was made out of. Have you ever tried to write something on the wall of a bathroom stall? It’s very difficult and barely legible.
But then again, maybe that’s why it took nearly a month to discover and decipher it.
The idea of this whole note seems strange though. Many people pointed out that it doesn’t make sense for him to have surrendered if he wanted to die anyway. He could have just remained in the boat and bled out.

He didn’t know Tamerlan was dead though, so that doesn’t make any sense.

Yeah, but the only sources that we got that from were VK and Facebook. They’re not reliable.

If the boat interior was made of wood he could have sorta carved it with the pen (see what I mean?) but then I still don’t get why it would have taken so long for them to discover it, the boat is pretty tiny. Or if they did discover it early, why only release it now?
And why no picture of it? Well, still one could argue it is a fake evidence created by the police…
Maybe they aren’t allowed to show proofs until the trial, which would explain why we never saw (if it exists) that video of Jahar dropping the backpack.
